Why do you offer a 5 week hire period?
Midwifery guidelines in Birmingham generally advise that it is safe to give birth at home up to 3 weeks before your due date, and up to 2 weeks after. So, we offer a 5 week hire period to cover the total time available to you. Many pool hire companies only offer a 4 week hire, so you either have to pay more for the additional week, or stand the risk of not having the pool available when you need it. We understand that other parts of the country only offer a 4 week window, so the 5 week hire allows for delivery and collection outside of the Birmingham area.
How often should the temperature of the water be checked?
About once an hour, with the floating thermometer provided with the pool.
How quickly will the water temperature drop once the pool is filled?
If the pool is not needed straight away, place the heat retention cover on the pool. This will ensure the temperature only drops by about 1 degree an hour.
What happens if the water temperature drops too low?
Take out some water using a clean bowl or bucket (not the submersible pump) and add some fresh, hot water.
Can the plastic stool be used in the pool when it is filled?
Yes, you can use the stool in and out of the pool.
How long will the pool take to fill and empty?
If you have a Combi boiler, it will probably take about 2 hours to fill. If you have an emersion heater it may take about to 4 hours to fill.
It will take about 15 minutes to empty it with the submersible pump supplied with the pool.
Can I pay by Credit or Debit Card?
